'The mission of the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists is to promote the health of women by acquiring greater understanding of gynecologic diseases, improving the accuracy of pathologic diagnosis, and disseminating this knowledge throughout the world.'
The International Society of Gynecological Pathologists is a world-wide community of pathologists and other physicians with a common interest in the pathology of the female reproductive system. The Society was founded in 1976 to facilitate exchange of knowledge about gynecological disease and to be a forum for dissemination of new information in this area. Membership is open to any physician formally trained in pathology and either recognized, or certified as a pathologist in accordance with each country's regulations or customs for specialists, and who has contributed to the field of gynecological pathology. ISGyP organizes a special educational session at the IAP biennial meeting.
International Gynecological Cancer Society
ISGyP members receive reciprocal membership to IGCS, and discounted subscription rate for the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer ($15 USD / year). ISGyP organizes a special educational session at the IGCS annual meeting.
International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology
ISGyP participates in the Cancer subcommittee in the update and review of gynecologic staging systems and other official guidelines related to gynecologic cancer care.
