SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

The purpose of ISGyP, as outlined in the bylaws, are:

  • To promote the health of women worldwide by the study and the advancement of knowledge and practice of gynecological pathology.
  • To create a forum for the discussion and exchange of new knowledge in gynecological pathology, primarily through sponsored educational conferences, through the society’s educational website, and through the International Journal of Gynecological Pathology.
  • To foster and provide leadership in the development of research in gynecological disease.
  • To promote the organization and improvement of training programs in this discipline.

All members are encouraged to engage in these missions.

Three types of membership are available: Standard; Standard (Developing Country); In-Training membership. All three offer access to our members-only Educational Website and to the International Journal of Gynecological Pathology. Members get discounted pricing for the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer online subscription of $15. All three membership types are eligible to compete for various awards and prizes offered by ISGyP. All three membership types also receive complimentary membership in the International Gynecological Cancer Society. Standard and Standard (Developing Country) members are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors.

Member Discount for International Journal of Gynecological Cancer Subscription
All members have the option of subscribing to IGCS online journals for an additional cost of $15 USD per year. Online access to our journals is not included with your IGCS Membership (as of this year), but you can add an annual subscription for just $15 USD. To activate your subscription, visit the IGCS store to make the purchase. Please allow up to 5 business days after purchase for access to be granted. If you have questions or need help with the journal, please email rosie.stephans@igcs.org.

All members are encouraged to attend the ISGyP annual general membership meeting, which occurs at the conclusion of the ISGyP Companion Society Session at the annual meeting of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.  A member social event typically follows the annual general membership and is an excellent opportunity for connecting with fellow ISGyP members in person.

Standard (Developing Country) members receive a special discounted rate for membership dues if they practice in an eligible country, using the criteria of the International Monetary Fund's World Economic Outlook Database. Click here for the country list.

In-training membership is available during each year that the member is in a formal pathology residency or gynecological pathology fellowship.  During this time, the membership dues are completely waived.  Once the member completes the last year of their training, their membership will be converted to a Standard or Standard (Developing Country) membership and the appropriate membership dues will apply.
